There will be a press conference with exciting new information, facility plans and overview, and a chance to meet the people at the top and support their decision to become the FIRST deep south institution to feature both Division I men’s and women’s lacrosse.
- We would like to SHOW the MEDIA in the state how important lacrosse is to us
- It’s very exciting that JU wants so much community involvement in their new program
- Everyone is invited to attend and show their enthusiasm
It will be good to have as many local lacrosse parents, coaches, fans, officials, and players (on spring break) who can make it! If you are a friend of Mindy’s this is also a wonderful time of celebration!!
So many people have worked hard to create this type of opportunity on the First Coast, from US Lacrosse officials to parents who moved to the area wanting to ‘start something’. Let’s come together for a time of celebration – it would not be possible without everyone’s efforts.

Just watched the announcement, and am very excited. As a former Marylander who grew up with the sport, and a former faculty and staff member of JU who still follows the school, this is a great day for the institution. Go Laxinville!!

How can I transfer to JU? I have three years of eligibility and played one year at a division I school. I received my release from the AD. I am really looking forward to moving back home (I am from Atlanta). Thanks!
